Dr Hudson is a clinical academic general paediatrician. His clinical and research expertise is in the crossover between physical and mental health, in particular within the context of eating disorders in children and young people. Dr Hudson was the paediatrician for the 2017 NICE eating disorder guidelines, and paediatric expert reference member for the RCPysch MEED guidelines. In his clinical work, he has expertise in the acute and chronic complications of eating disorders, including the lead for a national training clinic for longstanding complications in children and young people with eating disorders for the last 15 years, supporting mental health teams across the UK. His published research encompasses Anorexia Nervosa and ARFID, including epidemiological studies, meta-analysis, basic science and interventions. Dr Hudson is lead for Child and Family Health at UCL Medical School.
